Join us for a fun, community event that supports the Emmaus House and Community Solutions programs in which hundreds, and ultimately thousands, of people put on a pair of high-heeled shoes and walk through the streets of downtown Hollister in a light-hearted attempt to build awareness of the very serious issue of domestic violence and its negative impact on the community. Everyone is encouraged to participate, and although appreciated, it is not mandatory for participants to wear high heels.


Emmaus House is a nonprofit organization providing shelter and assistance to women and children who are victims of domestic violence. We are the only domestic violence shelter in San Benito County and have been serving families in need since 2006.

Emmaus House is a 24/7 operation, staffed with caring and trained advocates committed to serving women and children as they begin their journey towards a life free of violence. We are a place where women are empowered to begin rebuilding their lives and children feel safe, loved and nurtured.
